About
Hi, I'm Liisi Anderson
I'm a textile designer from Estonia. I studied at Pallas University and have been working with textiles ever since — it's just what I love to do.
I design pieces that feel good to live with. Nothing too complicated, just thoughtful work made with good materials.

My Graduate Work
I consider the domestic, environmentally friendly and sustainable production of knitwear important. I am interested in knitwear design and I have noticed that product development and knitting produces yarn waste from high quality materials.
The aim of my thesis was to create effect fabrics that introduce different ways to use yarn waste, where the waste finds a new output, the production process becomes cleaner and material waste is reduced. The technological possibilities of knitting machines are very diverse. When knitting the fabrics, I use fringes, patterns, braids and other eye-catching knitting techniques.
Knitted effect fabrics result in unique knitted garments that are inspired by the design of vintage knitwear.

What I Do Now
Today, I continue to design and handcraft limited edition knitwear from my studio in Estonia. Each piece is made with care from premium materials like merino wool — slow fashion that's built to last and meant to be treasured.
My work has also been featured at the Estonian Fashion Festival, where I participated in the Omamood show with my collection Villamustrid — a celebration of local Estonian design talent.
